- Frequent bake sales outside the library
- Space for me to sprawl my stuff out my usual 4 desks

Study Brain!
My brain is a bit fried just now with all the studying so forgive me if I don't make any sense for the next couple of weeks!
I think I am beyond exhaustion and I'm not even a quarter of the way finished! I've reached the point where all I can see is the holidays and all the things I want to do to relax! Not much time for that though as its placement time straight after Easter!
No rest for the wicked, eh?

Placement Serial Days
We had three placement serial days last week, and I've got to say, it went pretty well! I got Primary 1, which is exactly what I was hoping for! Now all I need is P7 next year and I'll have a lovely even spread of P1, P3, P5, and P7 across my placements haha!
I've only got 22 kids this year too, which is great, first time I've had less than 31! Might make the daily juggling act a bit easier! I've got to say, P1 is crazy! But I think I'm going to like it! There's a lot of "she said this, he did that", as you would expect from the younger kids, but I'm looking forward to the challenge of dealing with all this type of issue. Although it is going to be a change from my P5s last year - all I had to do was look at them and they stopped doing whatever was causing the problem!
Exams and assignments are in two weeks argghhhhhhh! I have been studying but I think I'm a bit in denial this year as to how soon they are!

Placement schools announced!
The much anticipated list of our placement schools was put up on the noticeboard on Friday! Thankfully I've been lucky again, only got about 45mins to travel (thank goodness, all the other parents out there will agree that it is incredibly difficult to get out the door for 7.45 in the morning!). Can't wait to get back into school, although I'm not looking forward to the stress of the dreaded SEF again!
Got lower primary this time too. I thought it would be interesting to see the progression and transition between nursery and lower primary. Think I might be a bit panicky if I get P1 though! Only had P3-5 before! Never mind, will need to jump in the deep end some time I guess!
I'm also starting to get what I've now named 'pre-probation-panic'! Worried about lack of jobs, being stuck on temporary contracts and what that means for our finances, long-term plans etc (oh dear, I sound so old!). But that's not a very cheery subject so I think that's all I'll say on the matter! But if anyone wants to offer me a job ...

Need to get my head down!
Right! Going to get my head sorted next week!
I have officially started my Ed Studies studying this week. I've made 3 mind maps so far (I'm sure my mum would be proud..) but I need to do some more and download the podcasts for my friend and I to listen to on our drives to and from uni!
It's far too difficult to find motivation when there is plenty of procrastinating to do! Saying that, my house is still a mess and most of my belongings are still in boxes at my mother-in-law's house. Talking of which, wedding planning, a much more attractive subject than Ed Studies. Definitely have more wedding magazines than uni books, and I don't fall asleep whilst reading the magazines! Plus, I'm angry at the teaching profession for rendering me unable to have a less expensive off-peak, mid-week wedding. (Ok I secretly want a Saturday wedding in peak summer). Maybe I should start a wedding planning blog ...

I'm back!
Well, I've only just caught my breath from a month of placement, which finished today. Unfortunately the paperwork will continue for a few days yet! It's most definately not easy juggling placement, a part time job, a new house (which I cleverly decided to move into the day before placement started), a (nearly) 2 year old, and an equally demanding fiance, but I've managed again! ... Well apart from the new house part, I've still got more boxes in my house than clothes! Moving house in the summer like I did the last time is definately wise!
I'm really going to miss my wee nursery kiddies, some other parts of my placement haven't been so enjoyable but that's another story. I've got to say though, it's really made me appreciate how much I love being in schools! Can't wait to get back into schools in the new year! I did really enjoy helping with the nursery's nativity play though, definately think that those kinds of things could be something I really get involved in when I'm a teacher.
Now I just need to my house sorted! Boxes everywhere, Christmas tree not up, and I've got 342973862834 Christmas and birthday presents to wrap (yeah, my son's birthday is on Christmas Eve, ouch).
Anyway, I will hopefully post again before then, but if not, I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year! x x
